Blair Waldorf And Seth Cohen Are Having A Baby

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have confirmed that they are expecting their first child, E! News reports.

The couple, who are beloved by television fans for their roles in hit teen dramas The OC and Gossip Girl, married last year in February, in a very hush-hush ceremony in Northern California. Meester and Brody get a lot of love online considering their respective on-screen counterparts of heiress Blair Waldorf and geek Seth Cohen were firm favourites with television fans.

The news doesn’t shock eagle-eyed celebrity watchers. Meester has been forthcoming in interviews about the possibility of becoming a mother. ?It’ll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I’ve got dogs,? she said to one reporter. Meester, 29, has not yet confirmed her due date, although Lucky speculates she’s at the six months mark via the scientific analysis that is zooming in on tabloid photos.

Meester and Brody are an incredibly private couple, so don’t expect any Instagram confirmations in the near future. Or a lifestyle blog post built around a burgeoning belly like Meester’s former co-star Blake Lively, Gossip Girl?s Serena van der Woodsen, on her website Preserve.? Although Blake did hold off and letting everyone know her daughter’s name for some time. (Trivia: it’s James Reynolds.)

Here’s hoping Meester has a great pregnancy. And that Blair and Seth’s baby will play with Serena’s in a few months time.
