Your Saviour Product For Bad Hair Days

Your Saviour Product For Bad Hair Days

When yesterday’s blow-dry hasn’t held up, what’s a girl to do? We know that daily shampoo is a bad idea; it strips the natural, protecting oils, and hair starts to underperform on the styling front. But equally, you have to look good.

The Solution

When hair isn’t dirty, but is suffering from “second day syndrome”, bypass shampoo and try “co-washing” (as it’s called by the fashion set.) This means you go straight for a quick rinse with just conditioner alone. This can be done with any conditioner, but even better with conditioners that contain little to no detergents and chemicals that often leave hair dry, brittle or damaged. The idea is to get just a gentle enough cleanse to leave hair feeling soft and nourished. It’s really handy when you’re in a hurry, too – just apply a large dollop to your hair from roots to lengths, gently lather, leave for a minute or two, and then rinse.
