Summer Hair To Dye For: Pure Pastels

Aisling O’Grady looks at the season’s show-stopping trends, captivating cuts and vivacious colours as she discovers that summer 2017 hair is anything but ordinary.

Soft, muted pastels continue to dominate hair trends this season. ?Not only does the shade choice seem endless, but style options have become more interesting, from full-head ombr? to highlighted layering.

?Pastels are easy to do and can go from subtle peach pieces to a full head of rose gold,? says Aimee Penco, manager and hair colour wizard at
Sugar Cubed. ?It’s suitable for all ages, and I’ve noticed clients becoming braver ? lilac, assorted rainbow and platinum pinks are inspiring them at the moment.?

Many pastel shades are not permanent, so wearers can jump between shades regularly. But how to keep hair in good condition, and prolong the time we get out of wash-in, wash-out tones?

?As with all coloured hair, care is key,? says Aimee. ?I’d recommend TIGI Bed Head Colour Goddess, infused with keratin and nourishing sweet almond oil. It works to close the cuticle that has been opened during the colouring process, resulting in healthy looking hair and vibrant colour.?

Top pastel picks:

1.?L?Or?al Paris Colorista Washout in Pink, €10.75

2.?TIGI Bed Head Colour Goddess Oil Infused Shampoo, €17.50

3. Bleach London Super Cool Colour in Blullini, €6.99

4. Joico InstaTint in Hot Pink, €6.50
