Rihanna Launches New Beauty Agency

Rihanna Launches New Beauty Agency

Is there anything pop star Rihanna can’t do? The answer to that is probably no. Amid new album preparation and the excitable news that the songstress will be launching her own beauty line, she revealed today that she has taken her fondness for the arts one step further and founded a beauty and stylist agency called Fr8me. The title fits nicely with the name of her supposed new make-up collection, rumoured to be titled, Fenty Beauty.

The Los Angeles-based firm assists artists in booking commercials, editorial shoots, ad campaigns and red-carpet gigs, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Hair, makeup and styling play an important role in creativity,” Rihanna said. “I am very involved with that part of my process, so this agency was an organic thing for me to do.” “We are lucky enough to have some of the best artists at Fr8me, but I also have a soft spot for finding new talent with extraordinary skills!” The creative moonlighting doesn’t end there: In conjunction, Rihanna has started photo agency, A Dog Ate My Homework.

The star has collaborated with her managing partner, Benoit Demouy on the project.

The announcement of the agency?is another string added to Rihanna’s bow, and right in time for the release of her upcoming album. Timed to perfection though it may be, there can be no doubting the woman’s savvy entrepreneurial skills.

And Fr8me is already lining up a talented staff including Rihanna’s makeup artist Mylah Morales, wardrobe stylist Jason Bolden and celebrity hair stylists Marcia Hamilton and Patricia Morales.

The agency is also moving with modern times, and Bemouy admitted that the online world?plays a huge part in deciding who the team will take on – a strong social media presence is paramount and dedicated followers are key.

“The industry’s changed so much – rates have gone down, and clients just grab images off social media, trying to bypass paying artists. But we’re concerned with social media, too – we’ll take a makeup artist with 500,000 followers over someone else,” he said.

We’ve no word yet as to who the celebrity clientele will be, but we’re assuming a styling session with RiRi is going to cost a hefty sum.
