I don’t know why this has taken so long to become ‘a thing’, but like lots of the best innovations, it’s commonplace to cry ‘why didn’t someone think of this before’!
Anyway, not to worry, the beauty boffins at L’Oréal have taken care of it (after 10 years of research, no less). The new L’Oréal Paris Color Riche L’Huile Nail Varnish is a delightful merge of nourishing oil and deep, dense pigment resulting in a super-glossy finish. It’s also scented with a light rose fragrance, which is a nice touch that stops the overpowering smell of so many polishes. Another key tweak is the new wider brush, which means you can paint an entire nail in one stroke. This may not sound like something big, but it helps achieve a much more professional look to your home mani.
The colours are a nice selection, but despite that, I am weirdly favouring Crystal, the totally clear version. There’s something just so polished about it; nails look healthy and shiny, and I’m going to have to admit that the ubiquitous nail art trend is giving me a headache, so this is the perfect antidote.
