A L’Oréal Paris And Balmain Collaboration Is Coming

If you were in a sweat when Balmain announced a H&M collaboration and were gutted to miss out, fret not. L’Oréal Paris and Balmain are collaborating for a capsule collection of LOréal Paris’ bestselling Colour Riche lipsticks. There will be twelve shades, launching this September. The lipsticks, advertising and packaging will all be designed by Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing.

“L’Oréal Paris and Balmain share the same strong vision of femininity and the same goal, to empower women and offer them diverse ways to express themselves,” Rousteing told Vogue. “With this collaboration, I’m thrilled to make this idea tangible for every woman around the world.”

The Colour Riche lipsticks will be available in three new colour themes and selected Balmain Paris stores and select retailers worldwide will showcase a limited edition ‘jewel’ edition.

Olivier Rousteing became one of the first creative directors of a luxury label to launch a personal Instagram feed,  where he reaches 4.5million followers, on his personal account. The Balmain official account has 6.8million Balmaniac followers, who leave tens of thousands of likes in minutes – particularly on pictures including the hashtag BalmainArmy, which includes everyone from Hadids and Jenners to original supers Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, so be prepared to see a Balmain x Colour Riche lipstick coming soon to an Instagram feed near you.

‘With L’Oréal Paris, Rousteing brings the raw creativity with which he has reinvented Balmain, from the Paris runways to his first ever beauty collection,’ L’Oréal Paris said in a statement. ‘The crossroads of high fashion and affordable beauty, the Balmain aesthetic reaches a new audience through the world’s most-loved lipstick: Color Riche. N°1 globally, a Color Riche lipstick is sold worldwide every 3 seconds.’

L’Oréal Paris are the official partner of Paris Fashion Week for next season, so with this accessible beauty and high fashion collaboration, you’ll be able to choose the shades you like from the runway later this year.
