5 Beauty Trends From Fashion Week You Can Try At Home

5 Beauty Trends From Fashion Week You Can Try At Home

Spring/Summer is hardly here and, as is normal in the world of fashion, we’re already looking ahead in terms of beauty. Fashion Week has been rife with glowing skin, glitter brows and oversized hair clips; all trends that are going to see us into the Autumn/Winter 16 season. And far from being exclusive to the runways of Paris, Milan and London,’some?are, surprisingly wearable, and should be easy to attempt at home. Below are eight that we?can’t wait?to recreate ourselves.

Exaggerated Hair Clips

Alexander McQueen - Runway - LFW AW16

Go big or go home. Kirby grips are not going to cut it; we’re talking about full-on headpieces perched on the side of the head. The look was the focal point at Alexander McQueen at London Fashion Week and styled right; it’s something you can really make work. The oversized clip is the new floral headband, perfect for a special night out or the upcoming festival season. Regardless of hair length, you can make this work – the headpiece should be the star here, so ditch the rest of your jewellery and let it shine.

Glitter Eyebrows

Giambattista Valli : Runway - Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2016/2017

All hail the power of social media. This trend was long seen on Instagram before Gigi Hadid strutted down the Giambattista Valli Paris Fashion Week Fall 2016 catwalk rocking silver glitter eyebrows. Arch art is in, in case you didn’t know. The mainstay of the look is to have a hint of sparkle under the brow. Just like a highlighter, the shimmer makes the arch look more lifted. MAC Cosmetics make-up extraordinaire Val Garland was apparently the woman behind this. If you want to recreate this at home, glitter liners are your friend.

Blackberry Lips?

Christian Dior : Runway - Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2016/2017

Okay, so a black lipstick isn’t the most wearable shade in the world, but if you want to recreate the vampy lips from the Dior runways in Paris, go a shade or two lighter; a deep berry shade is the next best thing but keep everything else minimal. Dewy foundation, mascara and lip liner (a must) and you’re all set.

Bright?Eyes?

Nothing wakes up tired eyes like adding a white or shimmered liner to the inner corners of your peepers. This was the essence of the beauty look at?Stella McCartney, who opted for this dazzling shimmer for a wide-awake effect. It’s a look you can wear day (stick to a white or cream liner for a softer look) or night (shimmer all the way).

Sleek Hair?

Paco Rabanne’s models had slicked roots and clean skin courtesy of famed makeup artist Pat McGrath. The key here is simplicity; a hint of BB cream on the face, glossy hair (with plenty of hairspray) and strong, natural brows. Fill them in slightly if you must, but don’t over pluck as the idea is that they look imperfect.
